Accessibility at the Office
Accessibility:
- applies to everyone – not just people with disabilities, but also seniors, pregnant women, and others,
- is a basic right, not a privilege – everyone has the right to use spaces, services, and products equally, no matter their health or age,
- removes barriers – it is a feature designed to make our lives easier and eliminate daily obstacles,
- is for both customers and workers – it matters to the people who visit an institution and the people who work there,
- meets different needs – it helps many different types of people, and each of them has different requirements,
- becomes important at different times in our lives – for example, when we break a leg and use crutches, carry heavy bags, push a stroller, or recover from injuries and illnesses.
Accessible environment – this is an environment adapted to the needs of everyone.
The main building in Poznań and the branch office in Piła are accessible for wheelchair users.
The customer service area has an induction loop for people with hearing impairments.
Since April 2012, we have been offering sign language interpreter assistance.
By law, anyone who has permanent or temporary trouble communicating can use a sign language interpreter to handle their matters at the office.
You must request this interpreter service at least 3 working days before your planned visit.
At the Statistical Office in Poznań, the contact person for this is: Krzysztof Toboła, phone: 61 2798 328,
E-mail: SekretariatUSPOZ@stat.gov.pl
The Office will assist you on your chosen date. If that is not possible, we will find another date that works for you.
The interpreter service is free of charge only for eligible persons with disabilities under Polish law.
