RULES FOR DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION

Official statistics provide everyone with: equal, simultaneous and equivalent access to statistical data. Individual and personal data collected and gathered in statistical surveys are subject to special protection. They are covered by statistical confidentiality, which means that they cannot be shared or published – they are used exclusively for statistical compilations, aggregations, and analyses, as well as for creating sampling frames for statistical surveys by official statistics services.

  • Aggregated data also must not be published or shared if it is possible to identify a specific person or economic entity. In the case of individual data, this means that information characterizing the economic performance of economic entities cannot be disclosed if a given aggregation consists of fewer than 3 entities or if the share of a single entity in a specific breakdown exceeds 3/4 of the total.
  • Orders for unpublished data and information from maintained official registers are fulfilled on a fee basis. The basis for calculating the costs of data dissemination is the currently effective "Price List for Services Provided by the Public Statistics Services".

The scope and form of disseminated statistical information are specified in the Official Statistics Program adopted annually by the Council of Ministers. All other statistical data aggregations beyond those listed in the Program may be prepared (subject to statistical confidentiality) upon a special request from a recipient, for a fee.
